Underwater Teams
Dive Supervisor
- It is responsible for the creation and realization of a suitable and safe dive plan by evaluating all the requirements of the activity point.
- All responsibility of the underwater teams belongs to the diving supervisor.
- The dive supervisor can prevent any diver from diving, provided that he informs the STH Board of Directors of his reason.
- The dive supervisor is appointed by the STH Board of Directors.
- After each diving organization, he is responsible for submitting the Diving Report, which includes basic information about the dives and his personal impressions, to the STH Board of Directors.
Underwater Cleaning Team
- Before each study, they are informed in line with the requirements of the study to be carried out.
- The minimum certificate and proficiency level is determined by the activity point.
- Necessary equipment is provided by STH, but divers who do not have the specified basic equipment support are not allowed to dive.
- They operate underwater using sacks and/or collection units placed underwater.
- The paired diving system is essential.
Before diving, divers must sign the STH_Risks Acceptance and Exemption_Document and attend the event preparation meeting.
Underwater Documentary Team
- Before each study, they are informed in line with the requirements of the study to be carried out.
- The minimum certificate and proficiency level is determined by the activity point.
- They must use their own imaging equipment. STH only supplies cassette consumables.
- Volunteers are required to sign the STH Copyright Agreement before diving, stating that they have transferred all usage rights of the visual recordings to STH.
- The paired diving system is essential.
- Divers must sign the STH_Risks Acceptance and Exemption_Document before diving and attend the event preparation meeting.
Rescue Team
- It consists of one or two divers, depending on the event requirements.
- The minimum certification level is CMAS***, equivalent to the PADI Divemaster.
- Depending on the activity requirements, it can be assigned to surface and underwater.
- They are informed and guided by the Dive Supervisor.
- They work in coordination with the Emergency Team.
- Before diving, they must sign the STH_Risks Acceptance and Exemption_Document and attend the event preparation meeting.
Kara Ekipleri
Emergency Team
- It was created for the purpose of emergency response in case of all kinds of accidents and injuries.
- Prepares an emergency plan for each activity point. The said plan is prepared by simulating the potential risks contained in the event note.
- The unit works in coordination with paramedics and underwater physicians.
- Volunteers with first aid training such as EFR, DAN etc. are preferred.
Inventory Team
It is the group responsible for the classification and counting of materials removed by the underwater cleaning team.
New volunteers are given a short briefing on the way they work on the day of the event.
Operation Team
It monitors the divers throughout the underwater cleaning team’s work and transmits the materials removed at the end of the dive to the inventory group.
Hanging and collecting banners etc. Preparations related to the activity area are also the responsibility of this group.
Equipment Manager
Volunteers who have the technical knowledge to respond to malfunctions that may occur in equipment as well as the supply, dispatch and administration of the materials of the participants in the underwater teams are preferred.
Documentary Team
- It was created for the purpose of a documentary project that includes the reactions of the public, their approach and the whole adventure.
- Volunteers with the necessary equipment and infrastructure are given priority.
- Volunteers who want to take part in this unit must have signed the STH Copyright Agreement before the event.
